Would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact you have to buy the next book to find out what happens. I always feel a lil ripped off when there is no ending , and you have to keep buying more.

The Story Continues

Once again, Alex/Linda Kay scores with Book 2 of her pirate chronicles. Women pirates, women warriors, queens, and other strong women feature prominently as Quinn Gallagher pursues her adventures and fights for Ireland against English imperialism. Battle scenes, friendships, and passion intertwine as the story continues, and Quinn sees lots of action, both in and out of bed, with old and new loves. We now have to wait for Book three to see what--and who--Quinn does next!!

Love, love, love this series!

I love, love, love this series. The historical characters & fictional characters woven in Gaelic lore is exceptionally done. I cannot stress how much the main character entrances & captivates my attention. My only wish would be that Westmore would find a way to bring Quinn/Callahan together with, in my opinion, is her one true love in Fi. I totally understand the times & how women of that time really didn't have many choices. But Quinn looking for an authentically open lesbian is almost impossible during this time in history. Even Evan is hidden & does not live authentically open. All the women Quinn loves love her completely but are limited by societal influences. That said, I am certain Fi makes Quinn the best version of herself. And I have faith in Westmore to create a possibility for Quinn & Fi to be together once all is said & done. They are my end game & I am certain Fi husband is no good. Surely his demise can lead to the family that Quinn & Fi want & deserve.
